Please note that being listed in an online directory on any FOX GROUP digital assets, or any FOX GROUP digital property does not imply an endorsement by FOX GROUP. Your Internet Transactions

We use SSL (Secure Socket Layers), the industry standard in transferring information to process your orders. When you click on “checkout,” you will connect with our secure server. SSL sends your browser information that “encrypts” your order, changing all the information that you send back into a code that is extremely difficult to decipher.

 

E-mail is not a secure means to send information, as it is not encrypted. We encourage you to use our secure ordering process when shopping.

We use “browser cookies” and Javascript on our website. A “cookie” is a very small amount of text stored by the browser in your computer’s hard drive. This text itself does nothing, but when you click from one page to another, our web server tells us you are the same user, it cannot tell us your identity. This saves time and eliminates the chance that your shopping bag might get confused with someone else’s.

 

Is using a cookie going to give us personal information about you? No. Accepting a cookie does not give anyone access to your computer or to any personal information. It is simply a small file in which we keep information that identifies you as a unique reader, customer or vendor.

Javascript runs on our web server to get the information from your reading our ezine or web site. It is a scripting language, it does not identify you.

 

Consent

FOX GROUP only collects personal information with your consent and for the purposes outlined under “Collection.” Your personal information will only be collected online when you decide to subscribe to one of publications, order one of our new ePROcurement products, contact us by e-mail, or click a phone contact link on our web page.

 

Your consent to collection may also be provided by providing us with your business card or contact information via email footer, telephone, fax, or by completing a check box on a form. If you would like your name deleted from our mailing list, please contact us and we’ll remove it within 48 hours and provide you with confirmation that this has been done (if requested).

 

What personal information do we collect?

The information we collect will depend on the reason for collection and could include: your name, mailing address, company, business address, phone number, e-mail address, telephone number, fax number and possibly credit information relating to payment (in future for ePROcurement services).

 

Why do we collect this information?

We collect this information only if required to process any of the following: to be included in distribution list of Telecom Dispatch ezine, other FOX digital publication or education/media event, inclusion on our mailing list or your entry in a contest or survey.

 

Collection

We use the information we collect about you to establish a potential business relationship, provide us with an understanding of sector or geographical region you work in and/or ongoing information service and to try protect you and us against error or fraud.

 

Safeguards

We maintain appropriate security measures to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of data within our system. In certain circumstances, we may share your personal information with trusted service providers that need access to your information to provide operational or other support services (i.e. our ezine technology provider). Use, Disclosure and Retention

We restrict and limit access to the subscriber/customer information only to those employees who need it to carry out their business functions and we educate our employees about safeguarding customer information and preventing its unauthorized access, disclosure, or use. Your personal information will be retained only for as long as it is required for the reasons it was collected.

If you have provided personal information to FOX GROUP, you may check the accuracy of that information by clicking at the bottom of the FOX Telecom Dispatch ezine.  If you contact us for inquiries, we will require specific identification from you in order to do this.
