NEWS......December 18, 2023 ---- FOX GROUP Technology decides to close after 23 successful years providing
9-1-1, telecom, networking and contact centre consulting and advisory services to numerous organizations throughout Canada, the US and internationally.
The leaders of FOX GROUP Technology and 911 Tech Advisors have decided to retire after operating their award winning technology practice.
"It is time to step back and relax and enjoy our retirement together, while still volunteering in NG9-1-1 standards development", stated Chief Innovation Officer Roberta Fox during a recent interview. "We have seen tremendous advances in communications technology to improve customer service and emergency response support for Canadians. We look forward to keeping in touch as NG9-1-1 and suicide prevention services evolve to save lives and improve emergency services response".
Roberta will still be available at her FOX GROUP contact information in 2024.

Roberta J. Fox has been one of the top Canadian IT communications technology consultant, analyst, and thought-leaders. She often spoke at industry events on topics of unified communications, telecommunications and networking technologies. She has extensive experience helping large organizations acquire complex technology and business solutions including the recent award winning Canada Suicide Prevention Service voice, text and chat national suicide prevention and support hotline.
She has the unique, creative ability to explain, educate and inform Canadian government and business leaders on the benefits and challenges of next generation technology solutions. She leveraged her extensive corporate and management consulting experience and vendor relationships to ensure that the right technologies were selected, deployed and managed to ensure successful business results for FOX GROUP clients and their vendors. She has been an expert witness in technology law cases involving technology service level performance, telework technology solutions and contact centre practices.
Roberta has over 20 years of corporate experience working in senior technology management and consulting roles for respected firms such as AT&T Solutions, Deloitte Consulting, EDS, Hewlett Packard Canada Ltd. and Citibank, prior to forming FOX GROUP in 2000 with her husband Stephen Lawson.
Roberta has also held a continuing education faculty teaching position at Humber College, and has spoken at Ryerson Polytechnic University in the areas of advanced networking technology and technology procurement. She was an active member of academic advisory committees on telecommunications and network engineering with numerous Canadian institutes of higher education including Humber College and Algonquin College.
She will continue to be active as a volunteer in the NG9-1-1 area at the executive and industry standards level.
Stephen W. Lawson

Stephen has 45 years experience in the information technology industry in Canada. He has been involved in senior level hands-on technology support, project management, training, IT Management and business development roles for many large corporate clients spanning a diverse range of technologies and industries such as Polygram Music, North American Trust, Logisil Consulting, ASAP Computer Products to name a few.
He has also been responsible for technology support programs, staff requirements, staff management and development for complex distributed technology environments. His experience has been gained in both corporate and consulting roles in information technology management, IT architecture, vendor management and technology staff supervision. He has also been involved in numerous technology start-up companies in business development roles for complex technology solutions.
Stephen keeps up to date on technology trends, issues and considerations by participating in leading vendor conferences, education events and managing the FOX GROUP technology environment.

She provided senior leadership and engagement expertise to FOX GROUP in the areas of IT strategic planning, human capital evolution and digital innovation.
She recently developed a practice focusing on human capital strategies focused on legacy technology support and operations.
